In 2000, Blake Harris from Words & Images Canada won the 2000 APEX (Awards for Publication Excellence) Award in his capacity as an editor of Government Technology Magazine's Vision Supplement. Earlier Mr. Harris was awarded the Maggie Award (1999) and twice received the Folio Award for Editorial Excellence (1997 & 1998).
In collaboration with the design agency DBD International, Words & Images has won a number of international awards over the past few years, including:
The international Summit Creative Awards. The only one of its kind, this competition recognizes exceptional work by advertising agencies, video production companies, multimedia firms and other creative groups with annual billings of $15 million or less. In April 2000, our work was selected out of 3,000 submissions and awarded silver for outstanding brand development and creative work.
Words & Images wrote the copy for DBD REVIEW, a newsletter published by DBD International. DBD REVIEW went on to win the Gold Award in the annual Creativity Competition for 1999.
Words & Images wrote the text for two brochures that won a second place "Certificate For Outstanding Creativity" in the international Mobius Advertising Awards for 1998 (in "Services: Real Estate" category, and "Commercial Products: Office Equipment and Furnishings, Stationery, Software, Computer Components, Supplies" categories).
And in collaboration with Comet Creative, Words & Images won the following American Advertising Awards:
Silver (1998) in the category of Sales Promotion, Product/Sales Presentation and Newsletter.
